Shannon:
Ginger (Kali) is doing fine.  She slept for the hour car ride from the airport.  Once we got home she started running and playing.  She seems to be settled in already.  Thank you for all the communications since we adopted her.  I will send some photos in the next few days and will keep you updated.  She is absolutely adorable.

Hi, Shannon! Just wanted to let you know that Lilah (Holly) is the best little puppy! She is great, loving everybody, people and dogs, that she meets. We are working on commands. She knows sit and down pretty well. Off is a little harder for her, as she gets excited when she meets new people. At the end of the month, we start puppy class. I can't wait. She's smart and picks up on things quickly. She comes to work with me all the time, and loves all the attention that she gets.

Hi Shannon,
Seamus (Ninja) traveled wonderfully.  We took him to the state park down the road from you to stretch his legs before the trip and he started playing and hopping along the beach with my husband as if they were old friends!  I wasn't expecting him to do so well with a collar and leash so soon.  On the way home he didn't whine the entire time and was quite content to just snuggle with us.  He loves chasing our toddler (which Colette loves) and took to our other dog right away.  Our cat just glares at us but she'll get over it.  :)

I love Seamus' little personality--so sweet but quite a stinker, too.  I can't wait to start puppy classes with him in a few weeks.  Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt one of your beautiful pups.  I'll send another update with pictures down the road.  Thanks for everything!

Sincerely,
Niki

Dear Shannon,
We have been so happy with our new "Jagger" that I've had no time for email!!  It was our daughter who decided Sir McJagger was perfect, and early she had nixed the name. So we do call him Jagger. His ears perk wonderfully for the name.

Our trip home was really pretty painless...we even stopped at Petco for a little socialization! When home, he napped a bit and then we took him for a walk. He is pretty funny on a leash right now!! But I have to ask, do you send home PRE-HOUSETRAINED PUPPIES? Jagger did not have a single in house accident until late Monday, but has already picked his spot in our yard. He goes each time I take him out! He has had regular bowel movements. Just amazing. He loves to sleep with his head on one of our feet so he knows if anyone is headed anywhere fun!!

He already gets "sit" and "Come, Jagger" but leash training will take a while. He's already weaving, trying to herd us! He is a good eater, has cried very little, and is getting a lot of walks.

Thank you for raising such a fine, well-adjusted dog. Our family is just thrilled.  Monet and Joey, Jagger is going to be a big one...and you should be so proud.

Thanks, Shannon.
Blessings to your whole family.

This is a picture of Brea curled up on a cat bed. She didn't like her dog bed at first she wanted to squeeze into the cat bed. Never thought a cat scratching post would ever make the best chew toy! The cats wouldn't even touch it, but Brea loved it and never touched my furniture.

She (Zoe, formerly Persephone) is at Doggie day care tomorrow for the first time.  Also…she sits, waits for her food comes when called, only is up one time a night and poos outside in the same place each and every time…the rest will come once I pinch things off and make it expand…just teasing…I’m not sure at 57 mine is any better…just weaker.  I tell her when we get home…she’s a baby and has a tiny one and mine is old…so who is going to win out…her of course.  Of course…she’s perfect!! HA!

Thanks Shannon.. Oh, the Vet…Sumner Vet…asked for a card or something…do you have any?  They were impressed.

I just wanted to sent you a picture of Joey (Hermes). He is getting so handsome and is so much fun. He is so well behaved, always eager to please. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is almost as big as our golden retriever. (Photo at 5 months of age) We all love him very much.

I just wanted to send you a note, sure wish we could adopt Piper, we did give it a lot of thought.  She is adorable!  Zoey would love to have a
playmate!

I thought I would send you some recent pictures of Zoey (At 9 Months of age).  The shy puppy has turned into a beautiful, energetic, loving dog! She is a huge trickster and constantly find ways of making us laugh!  She is very loyal and always eager to learn.

Thanks for keeping in touch, who knows maybe I can keep working on my husband to be a two dog family in the future!

Hi Shannon: Time flies, the babies are beautiful and if they weren't related to Kodiak, I would grab one. It seems like just a few weeks ago that we picked up Kodiak.

I could not have gotten a sweeter pup, he is so gentle, calm, lovable and those eyes get to me every time I look at him. He is just content most of the time to sit or lay by us while the other collie just runs all over.  He is a people 'person', more than a puppies companion to the others.

I am really in love with him if you couldn't tell. I know you will find homes for all but wanted you to know they are beautiful and it is good hearing from you.. Sincerely, Bev (OR)

Hi Shannon,
Just wanted to share a couple pictures since it’s been so long.  It’s just so hard to get a picture.  Every time Neo sees the camera he runs to me.  He is such a joy and a great addition to the family.  Trinity (female tri-collie) just loves him! (most of the time).  (-:

Shannon,

I was so good to finally meet you after months of emailling.  Your collies are beautiful and very sweet.

My sister is in love with Sailor and they are bonding beautifully.  She told me this morning that there have been no potty accidents.
(8-weeks old!)  Sailor whines a little and she take him out and he goes potty right away.  She took him for a short walk yesterday and he did great.  She is giving him short commands for "kennel"and "with me" so he gets used to the words.   The next thing to add will be 'leave it". She will give him a wonderful home and he will give her great love and companionship.

I am so happy for Sylvia and Sailor.  We are a dog family and I am very greatful to you for Sailor.

Hope all is going well with Roxy and Angel.

Thank you for everything.

Shannon, she is such a joy to us.  So smart.  We have been through two classes with her now and she is outstanding in all of them so far. By far the favorite of the class, the instructor had a hard time being open minded when it came to the award.  I will send a picture.  Her agility classes start next month and then advanced obedience.
PS>  She is very spoiled too…as I am sure you can imagine!  Bently and she sure got along nicely!  He is a month younger… (Photo of Zoe at 5½ Months)

Dear Shannon,

I wanted to let you know that Lizzie arrived to us safely. She is adorable. My friend drove my car home and Lizzie sat on my lap. She was quite content. My 3 little kids wanted to stay up until we arrived home around 10:20pm. They were so excited to meet her.

Here are a few photos of Lizzie with our kids. I can see it is going to hard to get any school done with my older son this week. He is spoiling Lizzie!

Have a great day and thanks for the wonderful puppy.

Blessings,

Hi Shannon,

Louis, was from Joey/Rain back in 2008 and he his really starting to show his unique character/personality.   It is probably best summed up as "goof".   He loves people and other dogs, always wants to play.  Every now and then something will set him off and he'll do this dance where he spins around and tosses his toys in around.   He also has an obsession for water, especially from a hose or super-soaker where he tries to bite the water stream.   Looking a pictures of Joey in the water, we wonder if Louis picked this up from him.

Anyways, attached is Louis' first professional shot taken last December, I use it for my avatar on facebook and such and always get complements.   There are two questions always asked when people see him, "is that a collie?"  "I didn't know they come in white".  He also gets lots of pictures taken, he is really a magnet for attention.

Hi Shannon,

We have enjoyed Ziggy (formally Davy) for 3 years. He’s a beautiful and magnificent dog … extremely intelligent, gentle and loving, a family member from day one. Ziggy has played many roles in our family, he has been a fitness companion during our daily walks, a fun playmate for our kids and their friends, a pillow, a yard protector, a travel buddy, but mainly just a good friend and companion to all of us 24/7. We all love him!

Such a GREAT dog! … Thanks …

Hi Shannon,
Bree passed her vet visit with flyiing colors!  Her eyes looked good, her skin was good, and she tolerated the shot and the poking and prodding like a pro.  The vet was impressed that you had told us about
the Ivermectin issue and the Collie Eye Anomoly.  Greg showed him the pics of Joey and Monet from his phone, and he thought they looked very happy and healthy.  Unfortunately, he probably sees some puppies from unscrupulous breeders, so I'll bet he's thrilled to see a pup like Bree.

Bree is close to being house-trained.  She knows to go when she's outside, but I don't think she can hold it yet.  She has caught on
really quickly to the dog door (Greg made a mini ramp for her) and did go out all on her own and went pee!  Quite an accomplishment.  She is very head-strong and fearless.  You should see her go after the vacuum or my blow dryer!   She is determined to make Gracie play with her;
she barks at her, pounces at her, tries to nip her jaws. Then Gracie barks a huge bark that practically rolls Bree over, but Bree bounces
right back at her.  She's not going to be a submissive little thing.  She reminds me of Joey actually!  She just has a presence that says, hey look at me!

Take care, Michele

(Kali - Going to be BIG!)

Shannon:
Here is a recent picture of Ginger (Kali).  She is nearly 6 month's old.   She is so special.   We are so happy to  have her. Some of her habbits include blowing bubbles in her water dish as well as burping!  She has a wonderful personality.  Recently she completed her basic obedience class, of course she was one of the most popular pups.

Hi Shannon!
Everything is going well. We named Givenchey "Sammi" and we love him so much.  Thanks for the opportunity to allow us to adopt him!!! He checked out healthy with our vet. We are keeping him updated on his series of vaccinations and we will keep you updated and send you some photos.
Keep in touch.

Dear Shannon,

My name is Carlye, and last November we took one of your collie puppies, Versace, into our families care. As he lives under a roof with my parents and I, he has adapted to having me as his main caretaker. We have aptly named him 'Hobbes' (yes, like Calvin and...). I write to you today to
thank you, and to share my story of the miracle that you have been able to place into my life.

As I am 16 going on 17, soon off to college and the last child out of my house, it may seem odd for my parents to invest in a new dog for me. Hobbes, however, is my therapy dog. Before him my life was in an uncomfortable pattern that nothing could seem to break. One day, I read an article about how having a pet is proven to make happier, healthier people. I showed my parents the article, and they agreed whole heartedly. I'm sure you can imagine where the plot line follows, leading us to taking Hobbes home with us from Camano Island.

The impact was felt immediately as he curled up next to me in bed the first night in his new home. The feeling of being unconditionally loved, and not alone in the slightest. As Hobbes has grown, I have as well. Regularly taking him on walks has given me a break from all stress, plus the
endorphins from exercise. The satisfaction of potty training him has put my faith back in myself, but most importantly, I have found myself a best friend.

Hobbes can sense my feelings, and adjusts himself accordingly to care to my needs. He licks away any tears that may fall, and nudges my arm to provide a furry friend to hug. As out there as it may sound, it's almost as if he can
read me better than any human could. He greets me each day when I come home from school, and watches through the window as I leave the next morning.

So thank you, Shannon. You have provided an angel in my life, and for that I am thankful. Feel free to share my story with others, if ever in doubt if they should care for one of your puppies.

Sincerely,
Carlye and Hobbes

I want to thank you for selling me Saphire.  She is turning out wonderful.  Tomorrow Saphire turned 14 months.  I'm attaching a couple of photos from last summer.  (Approximately 10 months of age)  She was almost full grown then, but her hair is a little bit longer now.
